Today marks the 25th anniversary of MTV's birth. Unless you have spent the last 25 yrs devoid of television or I don't know, living under a rock, you have spent countless seconds, hrs, and/or minutes browsing the channel reveling in your favorite videos, waiting to see your favorite video, wondering where all the videos went, or kicking yourself in the ass for actually watching the dumb, crazy, and attractive antics of kids with nothing to do in Laguna Beach. It's been a wild ride, and though far from the days when everybody loved the network [I'm thinking the fallout occured sometime after No Way Out but before or a little after the whole Y2K scare and the whole introduction of TRL. Just a guess.], it is still a staple in many a home and always finds a way back into your life, no matter how hard you try to look away.
