dude... incredible. : the albums, 2014.

17/ab-soul/these days...

great hip hop albums from the west coast all do this magical thing where they bring the party. a song or two here for the radio, and one here for the ladies; the gangsta one, the conscious one, one for da club, ya mama, the streets, etc., all bundled together, always working as a cohesive whole because the party and the vibe never wavered. a west coast rap album requirement. ab-soul knows this. and with these days, he most definitely brings this. like the classics before it, these days has a rapper at the helm who can flow and has charisma (plus brains & a sense of humor) for days. and he surrounds himself with his equally talented homies and peers, behind the boards, on the mic alongside him, bringing the party, vibe never wavering. for the clubs, cookouts, bbqs, and house parties too. another chill westside function courtesy of black hippy t.d.e.
