dude... incredible. : the albums, 2014.

07/spoon/they want my soul

at various points throughout they want my soul, we catch britt and the band in a groove. hums to the melody that come alive through generous speakers; harmonious na na nas and the like fitting in perfectly where words aren't needed. falsettos, and that rhythm. and the catharsis via loose hanging sing along scats. spoon loves the music just as much as we do, and this love is translated and carried over into the soulful post punk silhouettes housing it all. it shouldn't sound and be this easy, but spoon continues to expand and master their sound without losing sight of the groove. no wonder they all want in. they too want to feel it and have it in their soul.
