days before rodeo is a free album. some might want to call it a mixtape, but that first label is more apt. like the best free albums that have sprung up before it, days before rodeo is not a disjointed or occasionally brilliant collection of tracks. days before rodeo is a fully formed fifty minute LP that plays with and expands upon the post 808s and Heartbreak period of hip-hop to create something (and show something) that is unmistakably travi$ scott's. the confident and chilled ringmaster under the sinister booms and 808s. he, along with folks like lex luger, migos, rich homie quan, and young thug, stunt like this shit is nothin', finessin', that real. let it be known, yes, it's that real.
