lovers come and lovers go, and in between there's peaks and valleys. self doubt, then obsession; sheer bliss, then regret. talks to yourself, and arguments with the other. peaks and valleys, highs and lows. with his los angeles police department project, ryan pollie moves through the unpredictable inner workings of giving this old thing love (or at least working towards it) a try. personal subject matter presented in a warm, comforting setting, familiar to most. lapd is twenty five minutes of dreamy lo fi ambient pop and beautiful acoustics, softening the caustic scenarios revisited over the course of the album. presented from los angeles, handled and crafted with care; lapd is an escape and release. for ryan pollie and anyone who can (and wishes to) relate.
