What we gon' do right here is go back...

With his new album, Futuresex/Lovesounds, Justin looked to the eighties, a time of decadance, good times, and impeccable dance grooves. Not to mention the creative ambitions and excercises in funk and sexuality a la the artist now known as Prince. [And yes there's a little MJ thrown in for good measure.]

But if one is to harken back to a time where many a good tune was in heavy rotation, you can't just wink and nod towards Prince and the gloved one. Maybe that is why, as noticed by Miss Modernage over at her site
  • The Modern Age,
  • JT's album cover is strikingly similar to the cover for New Order's 2002 box set, Retro.

Once again the young kid who doesn't know any better was all impressed and shit with the sleek minimalism of Justin's cover [and still is] but this kid must also admit that the New Order cover is just as hot and sleek and possibly more fun to look at.
