Nelly Furtado seems to be having a good year. She finally got to immerse herself in the sounds and melodies of the hip-hop and R&B music that shaped her songwriting, style, and melodies before her star began to rise. Thanks in large part to Timbaland Nelly took the vibes of Whoa Nelly! up a notch and kept it Loose. Some scream sellout, but I say nevermind the bullocks cause it's all rubbish. Aside from that, all I ask is that next time you get down to Promiscuos or Say it Right, try to find time to scan the fine tunes Nelly gave us on her sophomore disc from 2004, Folklore. It's a mature and solemn affair that manages to not take itself too seriously. And if you have the time right now, dig this track, Try, and try not to enjoy it. I dare you.
