Don't forget about us

I now know why Mariah Carey has had like firtyeleven number one singles. Adult contemporary radio loves her. I mean loooves her. You see in my little office in Downtown Los Angeles we blast the "mega Old School and Today's R&B" hits courtesy of HOT 92 JAMZ. Currently on rotation are three Mariah Carey hits;[well four if you include that one time they randomly played Dreamlover, or five if you count Brenda K. Starr's I Still Believe which Mariah covered for her #1's album] We Belong Together, Don't Forget About Us, and Shake it Off. At first it was cool and refreshing for all of us to sing along to her jams, but then we noticed that she was getting mad airplay with just these three songs. Now whenever one of her three songs come on the air, all conversation or work comes to a complete stop so that I can announce what time it is, what number Mariah Carey song we are at for the day, and what the time was when we last heard the sound of her voice telling us to shake it off or that we belong together. We who enjoy radio better brace ourselves, cause word on the street is that MC is set to release not 1, but 2, count em 2 albums of new tunes next year. Someone just get her her own XM Satellite radio station already.
