There once was a time when bands like Phantom Planet, Rooney, and the Thrills were all the rage. You couldn't go one minute without hearing a tune from one of these bands in the background on a television show, in the background of your favorite boutique, or provided for you on a mixed CD courtesy of your favorite music mag.
