Ladies & gentlemen I present to you on lead vocals (and occasional keys), Jenny Lewis. On the bass we have Au Revoir Simone's Erika Forster. And on drums, Tennessee Thomas of The Like. Together they are Nice As Fuck. And on their self-titled debut, these girls just wanna (and most definitely) have fun. For album number one, the ladies that make up NAF present us with a twenty five minute, no fuss, hook laden affair in which they come together to talk smack, harmonize, and revel in the breezy So-Cal stained new wave, doo wop, and girl group aesthetics that they hold near & dear to their hearts. With Nice as Fuck, Jenny, Erika, & Tennessee "get high, get low, & get weird" in their own tight & synchronized fashion, producing the same amount of pure joy & pop satisfaction that can be found in many a great new wave & classic doo wop soul track. This energy never falters, and your toe taps, finger snaps, and handclaps will present themselves without asking. "I'm so lit up I could cry!" Jenny shouts at one point during the album's joyous festivities, and by this album's end, you'll find yourself feeling the same way too.
