Last night the Dixie Chicks swept the Grammy's winning all five of the awards they were nominated for, including Album of the Year for their wonderfully majestic and mature album Taking the Long Way. [And you gotta love the fact that said album won the award for Country Album of the Year after being snubbed by the Country Music Association completely a few months back.]
Three of those five awards [Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Performance by a duo or group] were for Not Ready to Make Nice, the Chick's big FU to detractors and naysayers. And one of those awards [Song of the Year] also went to Dan Wilson, co-writer and former lead singer for Semisonic, a band who we all remember for a great little ditty that went a little something like this:
