A few times this year, whenever track six ended, I had to run it back. “Do You Believe”. Amber and her vivid poetry; a reflection on a love now lost and her side of the story. It is a true headphone masterpiece that perfectly captures the musical essence of Ms. Coffman and her debut album. Like “Do You Believe”, City of No Reply is an incredibly stunning debut that shimmers and sparkles like sunlit ocean waves, even when her heart is not getting what it wants. Playing like Tapestry for these modern times, Amber approaches pop in an almost scholastic manner with just a touch of the eccentric, bending the colors and tones to her fancy. Ever present, ever clear, and wonderfully fun to return to, in order to give your heart what it wants.
