BOUND: The Albums, 2013.

23/Rhye/Woman

Supply. And demand. A transaction; a union; an understanding (and partnership) that finds itself home in many an industry. Including affairs of the heart. As in here, on Woman, the debut album from lush r&b craftsmen Rhye. On Woman, characters are famished, in need of your minerals, in need of that heat. "Make love to me"; "Ain't got a second to waste"; "stay open"; "don't walk away....". Wants, needs, demands, presented with the uttermost delicacy. Every coo, every want, every sigh, awash in a soundscape Sade would love and could call home. Woman is sex, but it is not crass. It's sex the way sex should be: direct, honest, and fulfilling. Signed, sealed, delivered, it scores.
