Hoe. Sit. Down.

Today's edition of HOE. SIT. DOWN. goes out to my man Al Sharpton, who after reading this quote below, probably won't approve of this post or the song present within it.

"Every record company has what they call a lyrics committee, where they screen lyrics to make sure they're not against police, or gays, or Jews. Well how come they're clearing lyrics against blacks and women?"

How come I've never heard of these committees? Am I the only one who thinks said committees are as real as membership cards for the itty bitty titty ones?

    Hoe.Sit.Down.

This one goes out to Bill O'Reilly, a lifetime member of Hoe.Sit.Down, and hip-hop's number one fan. And Michael Vick's. Cause somehow the character and actions of Michael Vick fits into the whole discussion on whether or not it is ethical to have Nas Esko spit a few bars on Virginia Tech's campus in a few weeks.

    Hoe.Sit.Down.

Today's edition of HOE. SIT. DOWN. goes out to Clay Aiken, who takes a little time out of each and every one of his concerts to engage the audience in a popular songs from the last 20 odd years or so medley. Here he is in the middle of one such medley, bringing, how do you say? Ah yes! Sexyback.

    Enjoy!

    GOOD MORNING!

FILE UNDER: New flava in ya ear!

I don't drive, but my 19 year old Cousin Lil Bro does. And he's of the install a bomb ass sound system and blast it to the nines while listening to the hip-hop and R&B flavas of the month variety. Hoe Sit Down, Wipe Me Down, Tip Drill and songs and albums of that ilk are staples in his bass heavy, bombastic sound system having ride. That is why riding in the car with him is always entertaining, even if I sometimes wish the southern fried, instruction giving, ringtone rap songs weren't so prevalent on his mixed cds or in heavy rotation when he dips and rides. Presented below is one such outrageous song that I just "had to hear" which was followed by him pressing play, cranking it up to the nines, and bouncing in his seat as if he was setting himself up for a ghostriding of the whip! Now don't get me wrong, 5 times out of ten I come around and end up enjoying said singles and adding them to playlists and the like. Will this one become a hit on Tauwan Patterson's iPod? Only time will tell...

    Hoe. Sit. Down.

Riding in the car with my cousin last week. Apparently I just had to hear this song, played as loudly as possible as we ran out to Bruno's to get some pastrami sandwiches. I couldn't help but think of the song's instructions when I read this article's headline.

"When that got out [about her and Ne-Yo supposedly getting it on], I actually panicked. I was nervous. Because I didn't want him to think that I did that [You know, kiss and tell]. That's not my style."

    Bitch please.

    Hoe. Sit. Down.

Do yourself a favor and press play. And then scan ahead to the 3 1/2 minute mark. You won't be dissapointed.

    ED.'S NOTE:
It's funny, after reading about this video on a few different blogs, I was so sure a girl ran up on stage, bent over, and shaked it like a salt shaker. And then I finally caved in and pressed play. Boy was I wrong. SMH. At least Solange handled it like a real lady.
