What not to wear: Indie Rock Edition

Many people want to chastize Mr.Leto for the all up in your face goth/punk rock look he's been rocking these days as a musician fronting his band 30 Seconds to Mars. I guess they miss the simple days of cornrows, bleached blonde locks, or plain normalcy. Does this count as a fond memory or are we in real time still?
