NICE AS F*CK! : The Albums, 2016.

16/rihanna/anti

Anti is a master class in being confident/upfront/doing you and giving no fucks at all while somehow remaining accessible (which of course makes her & the album all the more alluring).

She "can't get enough."

"Man, fuck yo' pride!"

"Don't get it twisted."

"I was good on my own."

"I rather be smoking weed..."

"Fuck your white horse and a carriage."

"Just take it on back boy, take it on back boy."

"Yeah I said it."

"Didn't they tell you I was a savage?..."

Yes. And her soundtrack is in beast mode, too. Whether she's taking us home (and bringing along Drake) with "Work"; going dark or touching trap with songs like "Woo" & "Desperado"; Or  being blissful and lifted, nodding towards Stevie with "James Joint" and being motivated by Prince on the the provocative album highlight "Kiss it Better".  Anti and at this point, Rihanna, is not asking you what you think or how you feel about who she is or the decisions she chooses to make, and this confidence extends itself to her track selection and the performances she gives here.

Or maybe performance is the wrong word.

Cause Anti is just too real.
