This is how we do it.

Yes it it Boyz II Men. You don't even know...

Now if you visit this blog often, you know that old school jams are more often than not posted under the "Old School Funk for the True Funk Soldiers" headline. But sometimes old school joints are so good, so well put together, so classic to a brotha, [see Montell Jordan's This is how we do it] that all I can do is marvel at their goodness as they boldly play on and show us how's it done. This jam, presented below, is one such example.

Brandon got a new soundsystem for his car this weekend. No more spinning of the iPod dial with one hand while turning the steering wheel with the other for him. No siree. It's all about touch screens, XM satellite radio, navigation systems, and having the option of watching a movie or playing some songs. While riding home last night, Brandon was in full Smooth Jazz and R&B mode, and after gunning through Bone Thugs N Harmony, and Bonny James ["Y'all don't know nothing about that." No Brandon, we don't.], he settled on Boyz II Men. And he almost skipped past this track, but I made him go back and turn it up, cause 1) it has literally been years since I had heard this song, and 2) it's just too classic to pass up.

Smooth, subtle, and to the point. It may have been a good three or four years since I last heard this song, but that still didn't stop me from getting my Midnight Love croon on from the backseat.
