1.65 Billion. Google gobbled up You Tube for 1.65 Billion. This is a good thing right? I'm happy for the non-profit making company that is only 20 months old. Money in the bank is a good thing, but at the same time I feel as if the days of catching much viewed items such as music videos that are hardly played on tv or amusing political clips are coming to an end. Attaching the name Google to the site also means attaching a higher influx of watchful eyes on high, quick to remove anything they deem stolen or copyright protected. [Which they have every right to do by the way] Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe You Tube will carry on in the same manner it has been for the past 20 months, and if it doesn't, well, enjoy it while it lasts before Google "revamps" it.
I can make it good, I can make it hood, I can make you come, I can make you go! I can make it high, I can make it fly, make you touch the sky, hey maybe so!

Pic of the Day!

K-Fed being thrown to the ground by wrestler/star of
NEW JAY-Z! SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT! KINGDOM COME! NOVEMBER! HOLLA!
And in case you were wondering I was trying to get my DJ Clue/Funkmaster Flex on in the title.
That's right I'm the baddest bitch

Aww shit. Brace yourself motherf***ers. According to the
RAPPER Flavor Flav may have dumped his sassy, out spoken date, New York, on last night's season finale of "Flavor of Love 2," but she'll be back soon - with her own VH1 show, "Flavorette."
New York, whose real name is Tiffany Patterson, 24, is in the final weeks of filming the over-the-top "Bachelorette"-style show in which 20 single guys try to win her heart.
"These guys are so dramatic," says Patterson. "They're worse than the women who were on season one and season two [of "Flavor of Love"]. This show is so chaotic, it's overboard, it's over-the-top, it's extreme and these guys know they're fighting for a wonderful woman so they've been at each other's throats and I'm flattered by it. I can't complain."
VH1 has not yet decided on an air date for the new show.
"I like it when the guys go at each other," she says. "I'm a prize, I'm so worth it - frankly, it turns me on."
She says the show is far along already and right now only three guys remain, and she's falling in love with one of them.
"There's one man in particular that I can definitely see myself living out the rest of my life with," she says.
Yeah VH1 sure is beating a dead horse into the ground, but y'all know y'all can't wait to see some ni***s wildin' out like Nick Cannon over New York. I know I can't. And what's this about New York being only 24 years old? Now THAT is news to me. I thought homegirl was pushing somewhere between the age of 30-40 years old. But that's just me. Big ups to
Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight!

Is anyone really surprised?
The reason

Just in case you were wondering, here is some reason for Ryan's punk like rhyme over at his Cardinal radio station:
"It's just stuff I do in my spare time, under the name The Shit. It's probably various tunes, as its been an ongoing project since I can remember. I record some punk stuff when I get bored, cause I like to play music when I'm not busy playing music."
Bad bad bad bad boy [update]

Making my way through this Diddy album. I'm at track nine, P. Diddy Rock, a track that includes some fine back up from Timbaland, Twista, and Shawnna. It's another fine example of Diddy surrounding himself with more talented folk in order to make a track shine. I love the minimalist bleeping beat and the speed with which Twista and Shawnna come with it on their verses. Unfortunately I can not excuse the following couplet that comes at the end of the hook sung by Timbaland:
Baby let me be your tour guide/I'm your Burger/You're my fries
WTF does that even mean? And how did Timbaland not laugh when he saw the lyrics sheet? Well, on second thought maybe he did laugh, but it was a marijuana induced laughter meaning that he saw it, put it to the beat, laughed his ass off and when all was said and done looked at Diddy and was like, fire baby! Diddy recently admitted that he hardly wrote any of his old joints, but on this album he dived head first into the writing process and boy does it show on this hook. [shakes head back and forth]
Hold Up, Wait a Minute
Bad bad bad bad boy

Fear of the Week: I will get my hands on Diddy's guest star heavy new album Press Play and actually enjoy it. I'll sit through all the clumsy and juvenille raps from the disc's headliner and bob my head to the fly beats and stellar cameos from his guests. How do I know this? Cause back in the late 90's I was all about Bad Boy. I still own all the cd's from my childhood and I don't know if this is some random act of fate, but though my purchased copy of Harlem World is still intact booklet and all [And don't get me started on how when my uncle took me to purchase a cd and I picked Mase's Harlem World, he looked at it like, that? Are you sure? Totally reminscent of the way Michael Bluth and company would utter "her" whenever the topic of George Michael's girlfriend Ann came up on Arrested Development.]
But I digress.
Where was I? Oh yes, so though Harlem World is still present in my giant cd case, No Way Out is nowhere to be found. I lost it. And I know I enjoyed that disc. Knew all the words to All About the Benjamins, used to love me some I'll Be Missing You [before it got played out and I was old enough to know better], and the disc could never make it through the last track, Can't Nobody Hold Me Down, cause the cd was so worn out from being spun so many times that this jam would skip and skip and skip til it couldn't skip no more.
-Sigh- So to make a long story short, I'm giving Diddy a chance and I'll probably enjoy some of it. -Sigh- Don't be surprised if one of his new jams winds up on some playlist I craft up in the near future.
If god is a dj
Speechless. Really, there are no words. James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Prince! One venue. One stage. Wow! I also love how Prince made his way to the stage on some guy's back while peeling gloves off his hands with his mouth...and he stops playing guitar to strip. Too much.
Big ups toIdolator for searching through You Tube's rubble to find this gem.
Big ups to
When keeping it real goes wrong
Yeah I know this is old, but it has somehow managed to rear its ugly head once again as I resist sleep and prolong my night. Cassie. Me & U. Live. 106 & Park. Great single. Horrible performance. This alone should stop record companies from hiring pretty faces or -GASP- "artists" without talent. [One of my favortie moments occurs at 1:24 when the DJ shouts 'y'all know the words', as if to say, 'please for the love of god, sing over this chick!'] Enjoy!

Sick of motherf***ers trying to tell me that they're down with Prince
The folks over at Crunk + Disorderly posted this gem of an album insert from Diddy's upcoming album Press Play:

Daammmmn. I love the subtle sex appeal of it all. Now if this ain't bringin sexyback, I don't know what is.*
*Yes, of course I am being sarcastic.
