...3121! That's right, the title track from Prince's latest has gone from an idea to a full fledged club, set to open next month in Las Vegas. According to the StarTribune.com, "Club 3121 is expected to open next month in the Rio Hotel & Casino in a 30,000-square-foot space occupied by Club Rio." And get this, the sexy motherfucka intends to perform not one but TWO nights every weekend.
This gets me all sorts of excited.
A few weeks back I finally got my hands on the two disc collector's edition of Purple Rain [FOR TEN BUCKS! God bless you Tower Records and your going out of business sale] All I could think while watching it was [aside from how awesome it all was: the acting, the story lines, Morris Day, etc.] 'damn to be old enough in 1984 and see this movie and then head out and see the tour.' -Sigh- You best believe that this could possibly be a thing to do on my birthday in Feb. That is, of course, if Prince himself is still getting his performance on during the weekends. Goddamn I am, as stated before, all sorts of excited.
