A quick peep

See what all the fuss is about here:
  • 30 second clips of the Killers' new album
  • Sam's Town.

    Curb Your Enthusiasm

    Brandon Flowers tells Entertainment Weekly:

''Sam's Town is it...It's gonna be the one that keeps rock & roll afloat. And I can say that 'til the cows come home, and it can sound as cocky as you want.''

Oh my god. But then again I need to stop acting like I am not curious/kind of excited to get my hand on this disc come October 3rd.

    Who's that girl?

Wow that Jared Leto keeps upping the ante when it comes to looking like a bonafide rockstar:

    Might trick me once...

Poor Janet Jackson. Like many a celebrity before her, she has had an unfortunate run-in with cocaine. Unlike many a celebrity before her, this was not her choice for you see
  • Janet, Ms. Jackson if you're nasty was duped by a Japanese physician.
  • So don't go blaming rapid weight loss, heavily sculpted abs, or that crazy ass video with Nelly or the one with Busta Rhymes on a cocaine habit, cause she ain't got one.

    DANCE!

We are one week away from getting our hands on a new Scissor Sisters disc. Until then we'll just have to remain patient and revel in tons and tons of magazine covers, news articles
  • and fabulous photographs like these,
  • taken from the Scissor Sisters free AIDS charity Red benefit concert in Trafalgar Square this past weekend in London.

    Reminder. Ta-Dah! in stores 9/26!

    What's Going On?!#

Is it just me or when you look closely something just looks odd with X-Tina? Is it her eyes? Her stance? The lighting? I just can't put my finger on it.

All it truly does is remind me of a work of art by Lisa Yuuskavage.

What not to wear: Hip-Hop Edition

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Sir Kanye West!

Somewhere in the world Scissor Sister's frontman Jake Shears is seeing this and just thinking to himself "OOOH, wear that outfit bitch!" and mad that he didn't get his hands on it first. Almost makes you forget about that Purple Suit glove thing he wore to the Grammy's a few years back.

    Almost.

    News Blurb of the Day!

Taken from a Rollingstone.com Daily Newsletter:

BEYONCE's causing buzz about an album sales rebound, because her second album "B'Day" sold 541,000 in its first week, fifty-nine percent more than first-week sales of her 2003 debut "Dangerously in Love." With JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" expected to sell more than 600,000 copies this week, it could turn out that MP3 downloading is not causing the death of the album after all.

    For Your Consideration

    Diddy. Press Play.

I don't even know what to say on this one. It's as if Diddy [that's what he's going by now right?]was up late one night, high, and was bumping Justin Timberlake's 'Sexyback.' Of course this was before the video dropped leaving Diddy all alone to craft what 'if this song was a photograph or a work of art? It would like this son!' images in that diamond encrusted brain of his.

    For Your Consideration

The cover for Luda's upcoming [double] album:

What is going on here? I agree with whatever hip-hop blog I was reading at the time that said it looks like the cover for some R&B joint or a gospel album. He should have just titled it My Life or The Diary of Chris Bridges or Autobiography or something. Should I be worried? Naw...naw be cool Tauwan, he'll come through. He's got two discs to do so this time. That's too much time and energy to be wasting on preaching and getting all syrupy.

    Bass...Hi-Hat...Drums...J...Let's Go Get Em!

Trippy and masterfully executed homage if you will to the genuine artistry that is the White Stripes' video for their single The Hardest Button to Button, featuring a cameo appearance by Jack and Meg! Very Looney Tuney.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to

On the subject of YouTube and Myspace being copyright infringers [sharing music videos by Universal artists for free when they are already in heavy rotaion, for free 24/7 on MTV], chief executive Doug Morris had this to say:

"We believe these new businesses are copyright infringers and owe us tens of millions of dollars."

It was bound to happen at some point. I guess that whole plan YouTube had to get every video made in the last 20 yrs [or ever or something like that] onto their website, is on "indefinate hiatus" for the time being.

Baby you can do it, take your time, do it right!

It has come to my attention [thanks Trent] that the Scissor Sisters are streaming their new album Ta-Dah, in stores Tuesday, over at myspace. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen. It is sure to be a gay old time!

  • Ta-Dah!
  • We're Stepping Out!

Earlier this summer Lance Bass came out of the closet and I decided to read up on it, go "hmm", and let all the other blogs do the talking. Now it's September, summer is drawing to a close, and Lance Bass is out, proud and crazy in love. Just peep these pics of Lance and his Beyonce.

Ashlee Simpson as Roxie Hart. Six weeks. Cambridge Theatre. London. Still not over it/can believe it/understand why she was cast in the role. Here's hoping someone gets their Youtube on with some clips from the show.

    Big Ups Hip-Hop!

    Yes yes y'all!

    Headline of the day:
  • "Hip hop fans 'have more sex'"
  • Quote of the Day!

"I'm a businessman at the end of the day...We hate the term rapper these days, man. I'm an entrepreneur. I like to say I'm an entreprenegro. To me, rapper is an insult." -Ludacris

    Check it out!

Recently it has been reported that Justin Timberlake smoked a little ganj in Amsterdam with a Rolling Stone reporter. He also admits to being high for a majority of the Justified sessions. And now he says he may have been a little intoxicated while appearing on Letterman earlier this week.

    What do you think?

    The Girls Wanna Be Him

The partying. The shopping. The fine taste in clothing. The wannabe dj ambitions. I swear to God, Lindsay Lohan is trying to be me.
